Seasus has delivered a Moodle-based Learning Management System for Learning Works, moving the training provider off a proprietary platform and onto an open-source LMS hosted on Seasus's own cloud infrastructure and branded to match their identity.
Learning Works had been running its courses on a proprietary LMS, which brought the usual constraints of closed platforms: limited flexibility and a growing dependence on a single vendor. The new Moodle platform was deployed independently from the existing system, letting Learning Works adopt it for new courses straight away without waiting on a full migration.
Seasus set up and configured the hosting environment, installed the core Moodle platform and customised the user interface with Learning Works' own branding, including logo and colour scheme, so the LMS feels like a natural extension of their existing identity rather than an off-the-shelf tool. The platform was built with room to grow, scaling smoothly as course numbers and concurrent users increase.
Alongside the initial deployment, Seasus carried out an analysis of the data held in Learning Works' previous LMS, assessing which records could be carried across to Moodle and which were better left behind, so migration decisions were based on what the data was actually worth keeping rather than moving everything by default.
Seasus continues to host and maintain the platform, including regular updates and security patching, so Learning Works can focus on course content and their students rather than platform upkeep.
