Seasus has developed a business operations platform for Y&P Cranes, Malta's tower, mobile and overhead crane specialist, replacing a largely paper-based process with a back office system and Android mobile app connected to the company's SAGE accounting platform.
At the centre of the platform is job management: a job is created in the back office, assigned to an employee and a client, and stock or equipment is allocated to it before work begins. Stock and assets, from tools to vehicles and cranes themselves, are tracked by location and by QR code, checked in and out as they move between the warehouse and a job site, with a maintenance schedule kept against each asset.
Field staff work from a companion Android app rather than paper job sheets: scanning stock and equipment as it's used, updating a job's status in real time, and completing job sheets, including tower crane maintenance forms, service and repair orders, and crane hire and truck or trailer provision sheets, directly from the site, with photos and a client signature captured on screen before the job closes.
The back office integrates with Y&P's existing SAGE platform via API, pulling client accounts and stock data and pushing stock usage and invoicing back in real time, so office staff aren't re-entering the same information SAGE already holds. Role-based access, audit trails and a reporting suite covering job schedules, asset usage and stock levels give management oversight across the whole operation from a single dashboard.
Seasus continues to provide maintenance and support for the platform as Y&P's operations and reporting needs evolve.
