Seasus selected as ICT supplier in the Malta eGovernment Alliance

The Minister for Investment, Industry and Information Technology Hon. Dr. Austin Gatt today announced an alliance agreement with leading local ICT suppliers for the development of new eGovernment Services.

The aim of this strategic alliance is to ease and accelerate the deployment of new eGovernment services, whilst ensuring that the public is provided with the most extensive and sophisticated online services in Europe.

Minister Austin Gatt said that the Government’s aim was always to work hand in hand with the private sector for the provision of electronic services, as outsourcing permits quicker and more cost effective deployment of such projects.

Such collaboration with the private sector, added Dr. Gatt, resulted in the Maltese eGovernment services being ranked second as the most extensive and advanced in Europe, whilst promoting the reputability of Maltese ICT providers.
