Malta Enterprise have recently launched six European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Grant Schemes. These Schemes focus on:
International Competitiveness to support enterprises tap into new markets
Small Start-Up to assist small start-up enterprises established less than 3 years ago
Innovation to assist SMEs invest in innovative processes, products & services and organisational innovation
Environment to assist SMEs invest in improving their environmental performance through eco-innovations
E-Business to assist SMEs invest in ICT solutions to improve their business operations
Research & Development to assist enterprises invest in industrial and experimental research (available in the coming months)
The E-Business scheme covers:
Consultancy services
Consultancy services required for designing, customising, implementing and testing the approved ICT solution are eligible.
ICT Hardware Costs (tangible assets)
Cost of ICT Hardware investments which are an integral part of the project. These costs may include:
Hardware required for the optimal functioning of the ICT solution;
Plant and Machinery that is essential for the optimal operation of the ICT solution (such as equipment required for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)).
Software Costs (tangible and intangible assets)
Cost of ICT Software investments which are an integral part of the project:
Readily available generic software tools and licences will be supported as long as they are required for the ICT solution. Examples of such generic software solutions include:
Database Management Systems;
Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions;
Computer Aid Design and Manufacturing software;
Content Management Solutions;
Client Relationship Management systems.
Software developed for the enterprise as part of the ICT solution (this may include technical knowledge acquired for the installation and operation of the ICT solution).
