See how Seasus' CSR applies web technologies and social media to create awareness and collect funds for good causes!
In a matter of a few weeks we were challenged to another app for Facebook, and we did it!
New client GABA Gioielli, a young yet established Maltese company in the jewellery business entrusted Seasus with the design, development and deployment of a new application for the world's largest social network.
The GABA Voucher Giveaway Campaign is an app specifically targeting the young consumers in the 18 to 25 bracket, in a run up to the Christmas season. Being especially student based, this target market required direct, effective marketing with a purpose - to increase their purchasing power. For this reason, the app was designed to give away free vouchers to all those users installing the app and sharing it with a minimum of 5 friends.
This viral approach is typical in a social environment and in just a few hours, hundreds of users were introducing friends to the app and downloading their free vouchers! Never have vouchers been so easy to win.
Wayne Flask, Marketing Executive at GABA Gioielli, said "“We were pleased to join up with Seasus for our first adventure into viral marketing, they offered timely service in addition to their expert insight. After the preparation stages we are pleased to launch the GABA Voucher Giveaway and we’re very hopeful to get the desired results.”

About GABA Gioielli
GABA is a household name in Maltese jewellery and boasts one of the longest success stories in the Maltese islands. It was originally set up as a diamond cutting business in 1972 by Arthur Satariano with his brother Albert Satariano, Anthony and Sam Cremona as partners. The company then expanded its operations in 1973 as a jewellery retailer and wholesaler. As Malta embraced an increasingly open market economy, the company's wholesaling business began to be scaled back, the diamond cutting factory ceased operations, and GABA redirected its focus on investment diamonds.
To complement the existing Diamonds outlet in Msida, the company opened GABA Gioielli in Iklin in 2002.
GABA Gioielli has two dedicated floors within the new complex. At ground floor, one will find a vast selection of silver jewellery and watches, where the product range is constantly studied and updated to attract all the different tastes and budgets. The second floor of the complex is dedicated to Gioielli’s gold jewellery. Here, stunning classical pieces mingle with modern jewellery in white and rose gold. GABA Décor was also launched in 2010. Tableware and household items are now displayed in the first floor of the complex, allowing GABA to further focus on this new segment.
On the third floor, GABA Diamonds continues to offer its diamond jewellery products and investment services, thanks also to its 37 years experience in the diamond cutting and trading industry. GABA has access to the finest stones through its association with a key sight holder for DTC, allowing it to achieve unrivalled quality and produce beautifully handcrafted designs for its collections.
Each of the floors is led by a director who will be present to see to customers’ requirements, while a lot of energy is directed at GABA’s e-commerce facilities.
The company is led by the second generation of the Satariano family, namely Lee, Sue and Wayne Satariano as well as Sandro Pace Bonello. There are plans afoot for further growth within the group – another sign of the Satarianos’ dedication to providing quality, value and passion to the jewellery industry in Malta.
