Being an ICT company

Seasus to participate in eSkills Week 2012

As technology continues to be integrated into every aspect of our lives, it stands to reason that everyone should be aware and have a good understanding of how these advances can affect them and how the application of technology can strongly re-shape business, the workplace and social interactions.

The eSkills Alliance (which incorporates the Malta Information Technology Agency and numerous key players within local industry in general) is helping to do just that, by highlighting the importance of ICT skills and encouraging innovation.

Seasus has been chosen as one of the key players in eSkills Alliance, and for this reason we will be participating in a unique event this week, entitled "Watch out for the new trends - Social Media, Business Media and Data-Driven Careers", aimed at young students being exposed to the ICT industry as an option for a future career path.

This networking event will provide young people with information on new trends taking society by storm and the development of new tools by the ICT sector that is revolutionizing the social and business sector. It will highlight social media, business media and data-focused careers through a panel with leading employers in the fields and a panel with ICT academics on the key competencies leading to such careers.

On Wednesday 28 March, between 4pm and 6pm at the new MITA premises in Santa Venera, our Managing Director Kenneth Bone will be one of these members on the panel of experts to give an insight about social media in the world of ICT, and answer any questions students might have.

If you are 16 to 25 years of age and would like to attend this session and get the opportunity to visit the new MITA-01 Data Centre, we invite you to send an email to eskillsalliance.mita@gov.mt
